1Before you start
You’ll need the 39 physical puzzle pieces and an 8×8 base plate. This explorer helps you find a new set of 11 pieces to solve.
Your pieces don’t have to be white and red. Choose to match the colours you own. You can change them at any time.
2Choose 11 pieces
Pull out some real pieces at random, then select the matching pieces in the app. As you add pieces, some choices may become unavailable because they would lead to unsolvable puzzles.
As your selection gets closer to 11, you may need to hunt for a specific piece that completes a valid set. Once you have selected 11 pieces and the app confirms your set, you’re ready to solve the puzzle.
3No overlap
Pieces must not overlap.
4Stay within the edges
Pieces must stay within the edges of the base plate.
5Two Colours
If the chosen pieces are made up of two colours, you must also follow the checkerboard rule: wherever two pieces meet horizontally or vertically, they must be different colours.
6One Colour
If all 11 pieces are the same colour, you can place them anywhere on the grid.
Single-colour puzzles are harder!
7Solve the Puzzle
Fit all 11 pieces onto the base plate without overlaps or gaps, while following the colour rules.
Once every piece fits, you’ve solved the puzzle. Congratulations!
8Play Again
For another challenge, put some pieces back, deselect them in the app, and choose new replacements — or clear everything and start again from scratch.
